Launching on ITV this spring, Keith Lemon and Paddy McGuinness will be joined by a host of celebrity guests in The Keith and Paddy Picture Show.
In the brand new five-part series, inspired by The Keith Lemon Sketch Show, the comedic duo will recreate some of their favourite movies of all time, including Rocky, Dirty Dancing and Jaws.
Dirty Dancing will see former Pussycat Doll Kimberley Wyatt play Penny Johnson, Spaced actress Jessica Hynes play Marjorie Houseman, actor Larry Lamb play Dr Houseman and Torchwood star John Barrowman playing himself.
Kimberly Wyatt commented:
“I’m thrilled to be part of this exciting, brand new show with the hilarious Keith and Paddy. Dirty Dancing is one of my all-time favourite films so I’m excited to get on the dance floor and teach Baby a thing or two!”
DCI Banks actor Stephen Tompkinson will take on the role of Quint in Jaws, with other cameo appearances across all films including Andi Peters as Mr T in Rocky.
Speaking about the role, Stephen said:
“I’m thrilled to be joining the team of The Keith and Paddy Picture Show for a more ‘fishy than usual’ reworking of Spielberg’s legendary thriller Jaws. Just when you thought it was safe to sit down in front of your TV screens…”
And finally, in Rocky, they’ll be joined by Marcella star Anna Friel as Adrian Balboa and TV presenter Marvin Humes as Apollo Creed. Speaking about appearing in the series, Anna said:
“I met Keith and Paddy a long time ago and we promised we would work together. I didn’t envisage it would be playing Rocky’s wife, but can tell you Paddy has a rockin’ body!”
Each half hour episode promised to be a mix of film parodies and behind-the-scenes mock-doc footage.
