When James reads the message he sent to Carl, he kicks himself and tells Carl to ignore the message as he was drunk, and it was a mistake.

When Carl reveals that he’s lost his phone, James tells him he’d better hope that Abi doesn’t see it. But when Carl finds his phone, before he can stop her, Abi looks over his shoulder.

How will Carl get out of this one?
