Abi loses her temper with Tracy as Carl struggles to connect with Alfie in Corrie

But is Carl really the man for her?

When Alfie’s nursery phones to say he’s poorly, Roy suggests Abi asks Carl to collect him, rather than cancel her counselling.

However, Carl’s not pleased as Alfie refuses to engage with him, yet when they spot Kevin, Alfie’s thrilled so Carl seizes the opportunity to offload him.

Putting Carl on the spot, Abi questions if he’s happy with their new life and he reassures her that he’s fully committed. Having dropped Alfie at nursery, Abi returns home to find Carl’s filled the flat with candles to create a romantic ambience.

As she nips to the loo, Carl cancels a call on her mobile, determined not to be disturbed. And later, when a glum Abi admits Jack snubbed her on the street, Carl gives her a hug.

In the Rovers, Tracy winds Abi up by suggesting that Kevin was the only decent parent Alfie had. Losing her temper, Abi punches Tracy and as she staggers back, Abi’s horrified to realise Kevin saw the whole thing!
