Alya is impressed by Evelyn's 'solicitor' letter for Steve in Corrie

Could Evelyn be about to embark on a career in law?

7-13 DECEMBER

When Roy receives a parcel which turns out to be her Christmas present, Evelyn rips open the gift and is delighted to find a backgammon set.

As she sets up her backgammon board in the pub, Steve accidentally spills his beer over it and Evelyn retaliates by sending Steve a letter informing that she’s taking him to the small claims court.

When Steve shows Alya the letter from Evelyn's solicitor demanding £325 in damages for her backgammon set, Alya advises him to pay it. But when he does, Evelyn admits that the solicitor’s letter was a fake and she wrote it herself, leaving Alya amused.

Later, having been invited to a criminal law lecture by Alya, Evelyn steals a name badge from the meet and greet table.

Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 with first look episodes available from 7am on ITVX
