Bernie and Chesney are questioned in connection with Joseph's disappearance in Corrie

But as Bernie and Dec go public, what does this mean for their relationship?

Bernie is chuffed after Dev suggests treating both their families to dinner at Speed Daal to formally announce that they're now a couple. But when she invites Chesney, he wonders how she can afford it.

After Fiz discovers Hope’s giant stash of sweets, Bernie has a word with Hope and warns her to stay away from Joseph and keep schtum about her deal with Clint.

As they host a family dinner in Speed Daal, Dev takes Bernie's hand and announces that they’re now officially a couple.

Still worried that her secret will be revealed, Bernie stresses to Joseph that he has to keep quiet and not spend his £100 or they will all get into trouble. Slipping him the video game he wanted, Bernie makes him promise not to show his mum and dad.

However, when Evelyn finds it, she's convinced that he must have nicked it, forcing Bernie to admit she bought it for him, with her pay rise from Dev. Which makes Evelyn even more furious.

Whilst Dev buys the story when Bernie tells him that she made up the pay rise so that Chesney wouldn't feel bad about her buying gifts, Evelyn's not so sure. Is the game up for Bernie?

Despite Bernie vehemently denying she had anything to do with Joseph’s disappearance, Evelyn doesn't buy it and phones the police.

Breaking down, Bernie tells them everything and both Bernie and Chesney are hauled in for questioning by the police.

After being questioned, Bernie assures Paul that everything she did was with the best of intentions and her only hope is for Joseph to tell the truth.
