Cain nears breaking point as Joe renews his offer to buy the farm in Emmerdale

When Lydia offers to look after the boys for a few days, a proud Cain rejects her offer. But once he’s alone, it’s obvious how close he is to breaking point.

Before long, Cain is apoplectic to hear that Joe has arranged a herd inspection due to a suspected TB case, especially as it means nothing can be moved off the farm until they receive an all-clear.

Later, after Joe restates his offer to buy the farm, Cain remains silent on the matter, but Matty affirms his desire to keep the farm going for Moira. And there’s a sense that the future of Butlers Farm as it is now is doomed.
