Caleb and Ruby are horrified to find out Steph's plan for surgery in Emmerdale

Can they get through to their struggling daughter?

Following an appointment with her surgeon, an oblivious Caleb and Ruby are heartened to see Steph more positive, but shocked when she tells them about her plans to go on holiday.

The next day, Caleb is trying to trace the flight number Steph gave him, and becomes worried to realise it doesn’t exist.

As they go on Steph’s computer, Caleb and Ruby are horrified to find the emails from the plastic surgery clinic.

As the surgeon makes the final preparations for Steph’s surgery, he is interrupted by Caleb and Ruby arriving. But despite their interruption, Steph is adamant they can’t talk her out of it. Will they manage to get through to their struggling daughter?

As Steph goes into a full meltdown, she smashes pots in the kitchen and when Ross finds out what’s been happening, he’s distraught for her.

And as Steph explains her feelings to him, he tries to console her, but Steph snaps, insulting him. But Ross withstands the torrent of abuse from Steph, until she snaps out of it, riddled with guilt. Filled with self-loathing, Steph grabs a bottle of vodka and flees.
