 6-12 SEPTEMBER

At The Albert, Callum intercepts a verbal and physical homophobic attack on Eve but is shocked when his father Jonno is revealed as the culprit and arrests him.

Protesting his innocence, Jonno blames his friend, leaving Callum to question whether his dad is telling the truth. But Eve is adamant Jonno is also to blame, and Suki arrives to support Eve as the pair start to thaw to one another following their fallout.

Against Elaine’s advice, Johnny meets with Jonno and offers him legal counsel to try and gauge whether he wants a relationship with Callum. But Jonno is reluctant to open up, but when Johnny reveals he is a Carter, the pair head to The Vic for a drink.

Later, Callum is touched when Johnny reveals that Jonno wants to meet him. As they meet at the flat, things get off to a promising start but Callum soon realises that Jonno is looking for money.

When Callum refuses to help, Jonno’s true colours come to the fore and Callum orders him to leave. But Jonno collapses and suffers a heart attack.

EastEnders continues Mondays to Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One with first look episodes available from 6am on BBC iPlayer
