Callum uses his profession to his advantage after Ben is arrested in EastEnders

As Ben protests his innocence, will he be believed?

FOR WEEK COMMENCING 25TH MARCH

When it’s clear that Ben hasn’t made any plans for his birthday, Callum attempts to save face, but after receiving pressure from Jay and Lexi, and Mitchell romance advice from Phil, Ben decides to throw Callum a surprise birthday party.

With Callum touched by the gesture, things take a disastrous turn when the police arrive to arrest Ben!

As he’s held at Walford police station, Ben protests his innocence as details of a previous crime resurface.

Back home, tensions rise between Jay, Kathy and Phil, who calls in Ritchie for Ben, and it’s not long before an argument erupts. Arriving home in the middle of the family argument, Lexi demands to know the truth.

Later, when Ritchie arrives to speak to Phil, Lexi is adamant she also deserves to know and Phil later takes a call from Ben as he shares a request.

When Jay and Lexi visit Ben at the police station, it’s not a smooth meet and Lexi decides to leave.

Later, with Phil refusing to see Ben, Callum has a heart-to-heart with him, encouraging him to give his son a second chance. And whilst Kathy grows suspicious by Phil’s actions, she heads to No.29B to confront him.

And as The Mitchells continue to deal with the fallout of Ben’s arrest, Callum uses his profession to his advantage.
