Charlie goes on the run after receiving some heartbreaking news in Hollyoaks

Will Leah's plan to bring him home, work?

The Osbournes receive a double delivery of news, that Nancy has got the doctor in America to agree to do baby Morgan’s heart surgery and that Charlie has been reinstated at school. But not everyone wants to celebrate.

So that Darren can tidy the house, Charlie takes Oscar to do his homework at the Love Boat. But when this brings up a sensitive subject with the teen, Brooke and Jack are on hand to help teach the youngster what being a family really means.

After Ethan brings Darren some beers to help him while he gets prepared to leave for America, Charlie is not impressed to walk in on them enjoying themselves and the house more of a mess than when he left.

Trying to cheer both boys up, Darren takes Oscar out to buy Charlie a gift and back at home, Brooke reminds the troubled teen that in order to solve the issue he must also listen. But when he receives a text from Darren saying he’ll be late, anger builds up again in Charlie as he’s left feeling second best.

When Darren comes home with some new drumsticks for Charlie, the gift is received with a cold shoulder and a family tree drawn by Oscar leaves him feeling alone. With Darren worried that he might lose Charlie when he goes on the run to find his biological father, Jack offers his son some fatherly advice.

Meanwhile, John-Paul is approached by a troubled Charlie who asks for information on the man who abandoned him, explaining his desire to feel wanted. He reminds him that, although Darren isn’t his dad biologically, he’ll still be the one that’ll be sat up worried about him.

With Charlie on the run after receiving some heart-breaking news, Darren doesn’t go along with Leah’s idea of recording a video to go on social media asking Charlie to return home. However, she uses her initiative and secretly films him as he talks about how much he misses the runaway.

What will she do with this video? And will Charlie return home?
