Chesney and Gemma fight for Joseph’s future in Corrie

Can Linda find a way to save Joseph’s education?

Joseph hands Chesney and Gemma his school report and makes a rapid exit, and they’re taken aback to discover that Joseph is often late with his homework.

After Gemma laments to Bernie that Joseph is falling behind with his homework because he can’t concentrate at home, Chesney’s grateful when Bernie suggests he can study in peace at No.7.

Calling at the pub, Chesney breaks the news to Gemma that Linda’s holiday rental business has gone bankrupt and she can no longer afford Joseph’s school fees and tells Gemma he’s been looking into taking out a loan to pay Joseph’s school fees. But Bernie’s horrified at the thought of them getting into debt.

Later, in the café, Gemma and Chesney tell Joseph that Linda’s been in touch and she’s managed to find the money for his school fees.
