But refuses to reveal who the father is. Could it be Simon?
Bunking off school to attend a family planning clinic, Amy reveals to the nurse that she’s pregnant. But when she asks for the abortion pill, the nurse insists that she should speak to an adult first.
Upset, Amy turns to Liz. After dropping the bombshell that she’s pregnant, she then asks Liz to accompany her to the abortion.
But it’s not that easy as Liz walks a nervous Amy home so that she can break the news to Steve and Tracy. On hearing the news, Tracy remains calm whilst Steve flies off the handle and storms into the corner shop accusing Aadi of getting Amy pregnant. With the news now out there, Amy is mortified that everyone at school will know.
Keeping tight-lipped about the identity of the father, Steve jumps to conclusions (again) when he sees Amy discussing her situation with Simon. And Amy assures Tracy that it was consensual sex that took place at a party just before Christmas.
However at the family planning clinic Tracy demands the truth after a scan reveals that Amy is 10 weeks pregnant! And Amy’s horrified when the nurse explains that at her late stage Amy will need a surgical termination.
After Steve reveals his suspicions about a Simon being the father to Tracy, she reads a text from Simon on Amy’s phone that sends her on the warpath!
But when Tracy, in front of Peter, accuses Simon of getting Amy pregnant, Simon denies it but it’s clear he’s hiding something. After speaking to Faye about her experience, Amy has a change of heart about the abortion.
And after being interrogated by Leanne, Simon maintains his innocence and Leanne comes to blows with Tracy after she continues to point the finger at Simon. Their altercation leaves Amy rushing off in tears.
