Fiz pleads guilty as she leaves Tyrone and the kids

Going back to the police, Fiz reveals how she unwittingly bought a gun as part of a house clearance and panicked when it disappeared. She later assures Gary that she left his name out of it.

It's bittersweet for Tyrone when Christine calls at No.9 to tell him that the social care team have decided that the girls may return home but Fiz must move out whilst investigations continue. Insisting there's no way that Fiz would ever hurt Hope, Christine explains that she has to follow procedure. Conceding so that girls can return home, Fiz tearfully agrees to go and stay in a B&B.

When the girls return home, Tyrone tries to question Hope about her injuries and the lies she told about Mummy but is met with silence.

As Fiz is called into court, she pleads guilty to possessing a firearm without a licence and receives a four month sentence, suspended for two years and a £500 fine.

When Jade climbs off the bus, Hope is thrilled to see her whilst Evelyn shoots her daggers and Tyrone asserts it won't be long before social services see through her lies. Putting the pressure on Hope to tell the truth so that Mummy can come home, Tyrone is still met by silence.

Making sure she's got an audience, Jade confronts Fiz in the street and tells her that she never intended for her to lose her kids but she’s only got herself to blame. Furious, Fiz launches herself at Jade before being pulled away by Evelyn. After being given a piece of Evelyn's mind, Jade books one way ferry tickets to France for her and Hope.

Shona forgets David as she starts regaining consciousness

Sitting by Shona's side and playing her recordings of Max and Lily, David is excited when her eyes momentarily flicker. Confirming that Shona is slowly emerging from her coma, the consultant also admits that she has a long way to go. Later, David points the finger of blame at Fiz after she apologises to him for unwittingly bringing a loaded gun onto the street.

When Shona finally regains consciousness, David's thrilled until it's clear she doesn't recognise him with the consultant warning David that Shona's serious memory issues could take up to a year before they improve.

Desperate to trigger her memory David takes Max and Lily to visit Shona but when she gets Max confused with Clayton they’re horrified. When David returns with their wedding album, will that work?

Roy finally makes progress with Nina

Returning from Richard’s funeral, Roy goes to check up on Nina and is horrified to see her front door splattered with eggs. Worried that she's being targeted by bullies, Roy suggests she stays with him.

Insisting she's fine, Roy later finds her fretting over her coursework because her sewing machine has conked out and returns with Hayley’s old machine. Touched, Nina asks Roy to stay and be her model.

As she makes adjustments to the corset, Nina warms to Roy as he chats about Hayley and the difficulties she encountered as transgender. As Nina puts the finishing touches to the corset, somebody hurls a brick through the window. Even then, Nina refuses to stay with Roy, preferring to stay in her Dad’s flat surrounded by his memory.

When Nina calls at the cafe with Hayley’s sewing machine, Roy takes her upstairs for a cup of tea and notices her bandaged hand and is shocked to hear about how her neighbour set his dog on her.

Insisting that it's nothing to fuss over, Nina suggests a game of chess, leaving Roy delighted. Over their game of chess, Roy puts pressure on Nina to move in but she refuses point blank, insisting she enjoys her independence and it would only make her enemies think they’d won.

Geoff tightens his control over Yasmeen

After faking a coughing fit, Geoff shows Yasmeen the cleaning rota he’s drawn up and orders her to get cracking. As she shops for a load of cleaning products, Cathy spots her and is suspicious. Suggesting they have lunch and a bottle of wine at No.6, Yasmeen agrees and she's quizzed about her cleaning obsession.

Making out that she's never been happier, Yasmeen insists that she just likes a tidy house but she's immediately on edge when Geoff returns to find them both tipsy. Cathy uses this as her cue to leave.

With Cathy gone, Geoff tears into Yasmeen for failing to do her chores and choosing to get drunk instead. And Yasmeen feels sick when he reveals a mark on the skirting board he left as a test to catch her out.

As they row over her cleaning efforts a tussle ensues over the vacuum and Geoff falls and hits his face on a table. Mortified, Yasmeen goes to fetch some ice. But when Cathy returns to collect her bag, Geoff is unaware and launches into another tirade of abuse. Shocked, Cathy grabs her bag and hurries out.

After apologising to Yasmeen, Geoff presents her with a state of the art vacuum whilst Cathy confides in Brian about what she witnessed and that she's worried about her friend.

Worn out after a night cleaning, Geoff congratulates Yasmeen on a job well done. Popping by, Cathy quizzes Yasmeen about Geoff’s black eye but before she can explain Geoff appears and Cathy leaves.

When Brian expresses his concerns for Yasmeen to Geoff, he makes out that she's an alcoholic and he's trying to help. After assuming that she's the one who gave him the black eye, Geoff doesn't correct Brian who seeks advice from Peter.

In a bid to cover his tracks, Geoff returns home and tells Yasmeen that he’s worried about her drinking and that others have noticed it too. Just as she absorbs this bombshell, Peter knocks at the door.

Starting to doubt herself, Yasmeen listens in disbelief as Peter talks about alcoholism and invites her to join him at one of his meetings. Lying, Geoff claims his first wife was a violent alcoholic and her drinking is bringing back awful memories - if she really loves him, she'll give up drinking.

When Brian and Cathy break the news of Yasmeen’s drink problem to Alya, she listens in total disbelief and tells Yasmeen it’s absurd.

Wanting her to steer clear of Speed Daal to resist temptation, Yasmeen stays at home and Geoff smiles when he watches the CCTV and sees her cleaning the living room. As she later cooks him a nice mean, Geoff produces a bottle of non-alcoholic wine and suggests they share it and Yasmeen thanks him for being so supportive.
