As has become customary during the week of live Britain's Got Talent episodes, Coronation Street makes the most of its 5-night 9pm slot and this year is no different as Gary drags Phelan back to the street for one final showdown.
As the men vie for revenge, who will be caught in the crossfire?
When Gary and Joe let themselves into Phelan’s caravan, a fight breaks out and Joe manages to knock Phelan unconscious. When Gary and Joe return to the builder’s yard they lock Phelan in the storeroom.
Sarah is furious when she discovers a bound, gagged and unconscious Phelan and points out to Gary that he could end up in prison.
In the storeroom, Phelan regains consciousness as Jack lets himself into the builder’s yard only to discover Phelan tied up who urges Jack to find some scissors and offers him a tenner to cut him free.
Gary and Sarah return to the builder’s yard just in time to find Jack struggling to cut Phelan’s bonds. Handing Jack a tenner, Sarah sends him on his way, making him promise not to tell anyone.
Goading him with nasty jibes about Anna, Gary snaps at Phelan and gives him a vicious kicking Suddenly Phelan rears up and throwing a chair at Gary barges his way into the builder’s yard where he pulls out a gun.
After tying up Gary and Sarah, Phelan heads to No. 11 brandishing his gun and to Eileen's horror, forces his way in. When a gunshot is heard coming from No. 11, who was in the firing line?
Making his way into the bistro carrying his first casualty, Phelan demands Ali administer first aid, grabbing a hostage and locking himself in the kitchen. As the police surround the bistro will everyone make it out alive?
Also this week, David goes to the police to report Josh for rape and an illicit kiss between Steve and Michelle on her wedding day sends Robert running for the hills.
Alya tells Shona that Josh is moving away and David breaks the news to Emma that he’d like her to move out. Dec pays David a visit coming clean to him about Josh in a bid to get Shona to leave him alone.
After listening to Johnny pour his heart out to Peter over Aidan, wishing that he had talked to him rather than internalising his demons he reaches a decision to report Josh to the police for rape. He confirms to the police that he’d be prepared to testify against Josh in court.
Calling at No.6, Josh tells Alya that the real reason Shona dislikes him is because he slept with David leaving her stunned.
Back on the street, David resolves to get checked at the STI clinic and Shona promises to be there for him every step of the way. And Josh feigns bewilderment when the police arrest Josh on suspicion of rape.
When Alya tells Shona that Josh told her about his one night stand with David, Shona's appalled and quickly puts her straight telling her how he raped David. But Alya still doesn't know who to believe.
Josh refuses to comment when the police interview him about David’s rape claim and Gail and Audrey listen in horror as David describes his ordeal and how Aidan’s death made him realise he had to face his demons.
As Michelle has her hair done, Johnny tells her he won't be attending and Ryan's missing after getting bladdered leaving her wondering if the wedding is doomed.
Robert and Daniel trace Ryan to a flat where he’s spent the night with a woman, but when her husband returns and demands to know which of them she slept with, Ryan points the finger at Robert.
Returning with Ryan, Robert assures her that nothing is going to spoil their big day.
But when Steve approaches Michelle and tells her about Robert’s steroid abuse and heart attack he insists she’s too good for Robert and deserves better. As he leans in for a kiss Robert walks in, but how will Michelle respond?
Devastated that Michelle could betray him on his wedding day, Robert throws his things in the car, telling Daniel the wedding is off and he’s going away.
As Michelle waits for the ceremony to begin, Daniel arrives at the bistro and confides in Carla that Robert’s done a runner.
Michelle turns on Steve after Daniel tells her that Robert is on his way to London after seeing the kiss. But will the wedding go ahead?
