Gary fights to save his relationship

And Seb finds him battered and bruised

Gary promises not to keep any more secrets from Sarah and tells her that he has paid off his debt. But Sarah is less than pleased when she overhears Alex talking about the loan shark and realises that Gary had invited him into their house.

Having had his van and tools stolen, Seb finds Gary battered and bruised at the builder's yard. After telling Eileen what has happened, she makes a decision.

With their relationship hanging in the balance, Sarah tells Bethany that she wishes she'd never got involved with Gary, whilst he pleads with Bethany to talk her round. Sarah reluctantly agrees to meet him for a drink but will an apology be enough?

Elsewhere, after speaking to Brian, Rita is horrified to realise the loan shark is the same man that terrorised her.

The day of Bertie's christening arrives

And the Tinkers and the Barlows are at war... over dog poo

Having been charged with dog fouling by the council, Ken is in a foul mood for Bertie's christening and Chesney is upset that Gemma is too ill and hungover to attend. Beth however is delighted and as the families bicker Sinead pleads for calm.

The christening descends into chaos as a food fight between the TInkers and Barlows erupts following a row over dog poo. In a bid to try and keep the peace Kirk picks up his guitar and starts singing. But will it do the trick?

Gemma discovers that she's pregnant

But she keeps the news from Chesney

After not attending Bertie's christening, Gemma tries to make amends by cooking a fish pie but falls asleep leaving it to burn. When Chesney suggests fish and chips, a downbeat Gemma insists she’s not in the mood and wants to be on her own.

Confiding in Rita, she tells her how having read Chesney's texts to Tyrone that she fears their relationship is over that suggests she's ruining his life.

When Gemma continues to feel sick, Chesney implies that she has a drink problem and is hungover. As she goes to visit Rita, she questions whether the sickness could be something else and suggests a pregnancy test. Gemma is shocked when the test is positive.

Having kept the news from Chesney, he's concerned to find her leaning against a wall feeling faint. Insisting that she goes to the medical centre, Gemma opens up to the doctor, admitting that she's scared and that the baby was unplanned.

Telling her that she'll make a great mum, Dr Gaddas confirms that Gemma is 9 to 10 weeks pregnant. After deciding to keep the baby, Gemma tells Rita who's thrilled for her. But when will she tell Chesney?

Seb meets a new love interest

But is Alina all she seems?

Seb's second job find him fixing a broken toilet in a nail bar where he meets manicurist Alina. After borrowing Jan's tools to fix the toilet, Seb tries chatting up Alina, but is left deflated when she's dismissive of him.

But when Alina calls in the Rovers to return a spanner to Seb which he left in the nail bar, he's delighted to see her again and buys her a drink to say thank you. Sensing a spark between them, they head to Speed Daal for a bite to eat, but when Alina spots Jan with Eileen she makes her excuses and leaves in a hurry.

When Eileen teases him about Alina, Seb's coy whilst Jen masks his unease. Deciding that he wants to see her again, Seb calls in to the nail bar for a manicure. Alina is pleased to see him and chats openly about her family back home.

Inviting her back to No.11, Seb explains to her that he's HIV positive and she reacts sympathetically and kisses him tenderly before asking for his phone number. But will she call him?

Carla has been spotted

But will Peter manage to track her down?

Fretting about Carla, Peter accepts Simon's suggestion to use her photo online with the hashtag 'FindCarla'. However he remains sceptical until a notification pops up from a guy from Carla's old estate, claiming to have seen her.

Agreeing to help Peter for cash, Peter agrees against Ken's wishes and meets the guy at a derelict house and hands over a wad of cash. But can they help?

After the police tell Peter and Ken that Carla used her bank card to withdraw money from a cash machine on the estate and was seen near the squat Peter heads back there and tells the Connors that there has been another sighting.

When Peter gets heavy with one of the squatters, Johnny drags him away and Peter gives them his phone number before leaving.

As Peter threatens to crumble under the weight of his despair over Carla’s disappearance Simon comes to his rescue and pulls him back from the brink.
