Craig finds Summer in a diabetic coma in Corrie following her arrest

Will she get the support she needs?

When Amy tackles her in Victoria gardens a pale Summer loses her temper and tells Amy to back off.

Meanwhile, Jacob has taken advantage of Evelyn over-ordering alcopops and having bought them is selling them in Victoria Gardens for a profit to pay the rent. When Simon reports Jacob to the police, Jacob does a runner as they arrive, leaving the final two boxes of alcopops on the bench.

Finding Summer slumped on the bench next to the boxes of alcopops, the police officers assume her to be drunk and take her down to the station.

Calling at the police station, Amy and Aadi tell Craig about Summer’s arrest and how they suspect she might be suffering from her diabetes. Hurrying to the cells, Craig finds Summer in a diabetic coma.

Fearing the worst, Craig shouts for someone to call an ambulance. Will Summer be ok?

Summoning Todd and Paul to the cafe, Billy tells them about Summer’s eating disorder and how they all need to look out for her.

Summer is mortified that they have all joined forces and is upset when Aadi quizzes her about a basket of food she has bought for the foodbank, realising Todd has asked Aadi to keep an eye on her.

Todd feels guilty when Billy reveals she was telling the truth, but Billy makes a shocking discovery.

After Billy confirms that he’s arranged for Summer to attend a diabetes support group, Summer reluctantly goes along and meets Aaron, a fellow diabetic who gives her his number. Billy’s pleased to see her making friends.

Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV
