Daisy gets Bethany sacked after her affair with Ryan makes front page news in Corrie

How will Daisy react when Ryan returns to Weatherfield?

FOR WEEK COMMENCING 26TH FEBRUARY

As Carla waits for a client in the Chariot Square Hotel, she chats to a rep from Waterfords who explains that he’s meeting Daisy, the owner of the Rovers. Assuming he means Jenny, Carla is puzzled to see Daisy arrive.

Later, Daisy tells Jenny that she's secured a deal allowing them to stock Newton & Ridley. With Jenny annoyed, Daisy points out she is co-owner of the pub and they're horrified to realise that Carla’s heard every word.

When Daniel asks Daisy if she’ll look after Bertie for a few hours she agrees and looks wistfully after Daniel. Confiding in Glenda, Daisy tells her that there's still a spark between her and Daniel and she hopes they can get back together.

But with Rita’s birthday party in full swing in the Rovers, Mary receives a message and accidentally airdrops it to everyone in the pub. Daisy’s face falls as she reads ‘I had a Torrid Affair with my Acid Attack Hero’.

Apologising to Daisy for failing to warn her about the article, Daniel is given short thrift and as he tries to make up with Bethany, she too cuts him dead.

Having spoken to her editor, a fuming Bethany tells Sarah that because of Daisy making a complaint, she’s been sacked. Confronting her, Bethany accuses Daisy of sabotaging her career.

Heading over, Daniel is shocked to hear that Daisy had Bethany fired and as the row escalates, Daisy reveals that Lauren blackmailed her and Ryan and only asked Daniel to tutor her so she could increase the pressure.

Whilst Daniel reels, back home, Daisy broods and when Jenny reveals she’s got a visitor, Daisy is gobsmacked to see Ryan.

Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1
