Calling in at the office, a panicked Daniel asks Adam to get himself down to the police station as his friend Nicky was involved in a fracas at the bistro and needs representation.
However when Adam calls at the police station, he discovers that Nicky was released without charge. And Nicky is touched when Daniel explains that she helps with his grief.
After admitting to Adam that he's been paying Nicky to dress up as Sinead so he could pretend she’s still alive, Daniel reassures him that from now on they’re just going to be friends.
Later, Adam intercepts Nicky outside the flat and, bungling her some cash and asks her to stay away from Daniel.
