When Scott hears about Charlie’s struggles with mental health, he offers Darren some advice who after some uncertainty takes him up on the offer.
Later, Scott offers Charlie to keep the drum kit from the Youth Club at his for the foreseeable to help him escape, and Darren makes his son promise to communicate his troubles with him.
As Jack tries to advise Darren on how to handle Charlie’s recent behaviour, Pearl tells him how he needs to set boundaries. But when Darren can’t find a way to get through to his son, he starts blaming himself.
Upstairs, Charlie’s anxiety grows as his self-doubts get louder in his head.
