Dave confides in Cindy about his family’s eviction who suggests the pair move in together. But when he declines the generous offer, she asks around the residents of Hollyoaks, and in an attempt to save the day, bumps into Darren who manages to kill two birds with one stone.
Later, as Dave and the family begin to move their belongings into the Osborne’s, Darren opens up to Tony about his financial difficulties and how the Chen-Williams moving in is not the best timing, but the only option he has at the moment.
Overhearing the conversation, Charlie turns to his headteacher for help, who comes up with the idea to promote a charity event to help. Whilst Darren opens up to his family that he is struggling and is afraid of asking for help.
