Debbie finally reveals her dementia diagnosis in Corrie

How will those closest to her react to the news?

14-20 JUNE

When Debbie admits to Bernie that she finds it hard being in the same room as Ronnie, she suggests they head to her hotel and have a few drinks there instead.

As Debbie and Bernie arrive in the Chariot Square bar, they find Brody there enjoying a drink with a mate but when Brody fails to provide ID, Debbie loses her temper and, picking up his drink, smashes it on the bar.

Later, as Kevin readies to leave for his chemo session, he thanks Abi and Carl for all their support. And Abi and Carl exchange an awkward glance which doesn't go unnoticed by Kevin.

When Abi receives a text from Debbie inviting her to join her at the Drag Night, Carl insists on looking after Kevin and Alfie.

Bernie worries for Debbie as she forgot to pay in the cafe and Debbie breaks the news to Ronnie and Leanne that she needs to cancel the awards ceremony as there’s a flood at the hotel, but Leanne offers to host it at Speed Daal.

As Ronnie and Leanne share a laugh, Debbie watches and when Carl tells Abi that they’re meant to be together, they realise Debbie is watching them.

Suddenly, Debbie collapses and as she regains consciousness, Kevin and Abi tell her she’s going to hospital. But when Debbie reveals that she already knows what’s wrong and she’s got dementia, how will they react?

Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 with first look episodes available from 7am on ITVX
