Debbie is confronted by her biggest fear in Corrie

Debbie tells Ronnie she’s giving up the booze to look after her brain.

When she offers to help a woman named Sadie, who is looking for her daughter, Debbie is taken aback when Sadie snaps at her.

On the street, Debbie recognises Sadie and Sienna rushes over to her Mum, but Sadie doesn’t recognise her and lashes out. Rejecting Asha’s offer of help, Sienna gently leads her Mum away as Debbie watches, horrified to realise this is a glimpse into her own future.

As Asha and Sienna discuss her Mum’s dementia and various care options, Ronnie overhears their exchange before confiding in James that the holiday was challenging and, in hindsight, it was a mistake to take Debbie out of her comfort zone. And Ronnie assures Debbie that when the time comes, he’ll hire a carer.

Asha and Bernie do their best to convince Sienna that it’s in her Mum’s best interests to find her a good nursing home where she’ll be safe and happy.

Later, Asha explains to Dev how she accompanied Sienna, her Mum and her brother to look round a nursing home, but her mum freaked out when she realised what was happening while Ronnie listens with unease.
