Toby catches DeMarcus as he skips school under the ruse of being sick. But how will Toby react when he finds out DeMarcus is using his time to find Felix?
Short on money, DeMarcus decides to buy something nice for Martine and leaves Nate an IOU.
All the while, he's being watched by his teacher, resulting in a visit from his mother Viv.
Viv weighs out her options on what to do with DeMarcus, which could cut his time in Hollyoaks short.
Later, DeMarcus is overwhelmed as Viv and the Devereauxs argue about him staying in Hollyoaks, but Nate is there to lend an ear.
Afterwards, Nate’s partner Lexi reminds him of their reason for being in the village. But Nate is distracted, convinced that one of the Devereauxs must know what happened to his old flame, a face that is in fact familiar to them all.
Superstar Pearl juggles a to-do list that seems to get longer by the minute, but with Martine recovering so quickly, the Devereauxs might not need her help for much longer. And Nate offers DeMarcus a job.
