How will he react to her news?

 30 MAY - 5 JUNE

This week on EastEnders, all the episodes take place over the course of one night. It's The Night that Changes Everything...

Walford has gathered following the drama at Vicki and Ross’ wedding ceremony, but Yolande is worried about Denise's absence.

At the hospital, Denise is shocked as the doctor relays information regarding her diagnosis, and she heads back to Fox and Hair, where Yolande finds her. Soon, her emotions get the better of her, and Denise breaks down, revealing all, before going back to No.27, where the pair have a heart-to-heart.

As Denise stays with Yolande in the comfort of No.27, her consultant calls and insists she come back to the hospital for immediate treatment. But before Denise has time to process her own emotions, her night takes an unexpected turn when she receives a worrying call from her family and rushes to be with her daughter, Chelsea, in her hour of need.

Hiding her own emotions, Denise attempts to be strong for Chelsea and decides to keep her diagnosis a secret from her loved ones. When questions about her previous whereabouts arise, Yolande covers for Denise. But when Yolande later encourages her to tell the family, Denise asks her to go home and rest.

As she continues to support Chelsea, Denise soon realises it’s time she faces her own situation, and she heads home to find Jack, where she tells him about her blood cancer diagnosis.

And as dawn breaks in Walford, the residents contemplate their own situations, but it’s clear that the tricky road ahead for a few has only just begun...

EastEnders continues Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One with first look episodes available from 6am on BBC iPlayer
