Denise’s cancer battle takes a heartbreaking turn as she returns home in EastEnders

But will she tell her family?

The Fox-Truemans prepare to welcome Denise home, but unbeknownst to them all, she has been told that she hasn’t responded to the treatment as they had hoped, and they’ll need to try again.

As she continues to keep secrets from her family, Denise struggles to settle back into family life and heads back to the hospital.

At the hospital, Denise is devastated to discover that her friend has died and heads back to the Square.

As Libby supports Denise, things go from bad to worse when Denise spots Jordan in the Square with Sheila, and Libby reveals that she’s Gray’s nan.

Berating the family over Sheila, Denise insists to Chelsea that she wants to meet Sheila today.

Later, things are tense when Sheila arrives, and Denise asks Libby and Chelsea to leave before interrogating Sheila on her motives.

As Denise and Jack continue to struggle, she finally opens up to him that her chemo isn’t working as hoped, and Jack falters, but Denise forbids him from telling the family.

Instead, Denise puts her efforts into a leaving party for Libby.
