Calling at No.7, Mal drops a bombshell on Dev and, turning to Bernie, tells her that once Dev has dumped her, he’ll be waiting in the wings. Dev’s stunned.

Later, Dev spells out to Kit that he knows he attacked Mal.

When Dev calls in and tells Bernie he’d like to take her for dinner and forget about Mal, she’s thrilled. But as Dev and Bernie head out for the evening, Mal watches them from the shadows.
