EASTENDERS SPOILERS Ray charms Mel and Hunter

But are they onto his lies?

On Monday (1st October) Hunter braces himself to tell the truth to Mel about Ray but when Ray turns up and interrupts him, Hunter storms off.

Catching up with him, Ray tries to spin Hunter a line to cover his tracks, but it's soon clear to Ray that he has to tell him the truth.

Later at E20, Mel is furious to turn up and find Hunter drinking however he's quick to cover for Ray.

After getting Hunter drunk, Ray’s efforts in Tuesday's episode (2nd October) to win Mel over fall flat and on Thursday (4th October), Jack begins to get suspicious after spotting Ray's injured hand.

Ray antagonises Jack but after extending an olive branch, Jack reluctantly agrees and later decides to ask Mel about his injured hand.

However Mel isn't interested in his accusations but when she does ask Ray, he turns on the charm.

Later, Jack decides to pay Ray a visit, insinuating he has dirt on him, but unable to keep his anger in check, it's clear that Ray's got him.

Mel is suspicious of Ray’s constant phone calls on Friday (5th October) and whilst sorting a delivery mix-up at The Vic she is left feeling all the more suspicious.

When she confronts him, they argue but Ray wins Mel over and as he leaves she spots his wallet under the table and contemplates having a look inside.

EastEnders continues Mondays (8pm), Tuesdays (7:30pm), Thursdays (7:30pm) and Fridays (8pm) on BBC One
