Elaine's jealousy grows as George helps Cindy with The Albert's relaunch in EastEnders

Is she at risk of losing George to Cindy?

Reaching out to Cindy, George helps her come up with a plan to get the family back on side. But it’s clear Elaine is jealous of George’s interference.

As Cindy prepares for The Albert re-launch, her hopes are scuppered when George reveals that Gina and Anna won’t be attending. And after Felix and Freddie reveal the low ticket sales, the trio head to the Square in an attempt to get Walford talking about the launch.

Things soon turn sour when Cindy and Elaine get into an argument, forcing George to intervene. Later, Elaine decides to host karaoke night on the day of the re-launch, much to Cindy’s dismay.

Soon, disaster strikes for Cindy after Felix, Freddie and the rest of her workers walk off the job when they realise that she hasn’t paid them.

Spotting Cindy in need, Kojo offers to help, but George steps in.

Later, Gina is incredulous as she spies her dad helping Cindy before agreeing to lend a hand when it becomes clear how much Cindy is trying.

Elsewhere, Felix and Freddie celebrate with Elaine in The Vic when news of Cindy’s failures reaches her. However, it's not long before Kim reveals that Cindy’s re-launch party is a success, whilst the karaoke party at at The Vic is a flop.

Going against George's advice, Elaine decides to attend the party to annoy Cindy, but Cindy uses the moment to reveal that George helped her, and even paid for additional staff to ensure the night was a success.

Causing a scene, Elaine heads to the barrel store to seek solace, before George attempts to reason with her. But when Elaine continues to snipe, George heads back to The Albert to celebrate and apologise for her behaviour.
