Elaine vows revenge as Ian plots to shut down Peacock Palace in EastEnders

But who will end up getting the Councillor job?

 24-30 JANUARY

George asks Elaine to meet him for a drink so he can break the news about Nicola’s pregnancy. However, Bea fuels Elaine’s secret hopes that George might want to get back together.

At The Vic, George is forced to put Elaine straight and, in her embarrassment, she lashes out at Ian, leading him to retaliate.

The next day, Elaine discovers she’s front-page news thanks to Ian’s tip-off and vows revenge. But things get out of hand when she decides to hit back,

Kathy despairs as Ian continues to rant about Elaine and plots her downfall. When Elaine tries to apologise, the Beales are in no mood to forgive and forget.

After another row in the café, Ian later heads to Peacock Palace to talk to Elaine and reveals he plans to run for Councillor Barker’s vacant seat. And when he gets on the council board, he will make it his mission to close Peacock Palace.

Later, Elaine decides to play Ian at his own game and also run for Councillor Barker’s seat.
