But what will Roy make of her actions?
As Cassie sets about decorating No.9 for Christmas, she suggests they throw a party for Hope’s birthday and whilst Tyrone reckons it’s a great idea, Hope doesn’t seem very keen.
Meanwhile, on the street, Evelyn witnesses a man mistreating his dog and remonstrates with him. Coming to Evelyn's aid, Roy is terrified when Terry, the dog owner, turns on him instead..
As Cassie comes to their rescue, Roy films Terry and the dog on Evelyn’s phone and Tyrone reports Terry to the police.
Exhausted, Evelyn admits to Roy she couldn’t sleep worrying about the dog and when Terry pulls up outside the charity shop, Evelyn watches, appalled to see him head off and leave the dog alone in the van.
Hearing the dog whimpering in the back of the van, Evelyn reaches a decision. How will Roy react when she returns with the dog in tow?
Elsewhere, Cassie tells Hope she doesn’t have to go to school on her birthday she has a better idea, but when they both return home sporting nose studs, Tyrone’s horrified and further angered to realise Hope bunked off school for the day, and tells her she’s grounded for a month.
Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1
