FIRST LOOK Adultery

The scandalous new drama will air this October.

ITV1 has released a first look at their provocative new six-part drama Adultery, with a number of images as well as a trailer ahead of its launch this October.

Written and created by Danny Brocklehurst, Adultery stars Dominic Cooper and Romola Garai as Tom Kirkman and Beth Brookes in a provocative love story which raises questions about class, grief and the effects of social media.

It promises to take the viewer on a rollercoaster story of passion, parenthood and peril as Tom and Beth embark upon a passionate and intense love affair that threatens to uproot their whole lives.

The series introduces us to Tom’s 15-year-old daughter Jess who has found love with schoolmate Ollie, and they can’t take their hands off one another, as love’s young dream becomes all-consuming.

When Tom meets Ollie’s mum, Beth, in the most unexpected of circumstances, the two families’ lives are potentially turned upside down forever. Will Tom and Beth be able to control their desires unlike their lovestruck teenagers?

Adultery is described as naturally authentic and bristling with passion as it focuses upon two families and messy complications.

These new photos reveal Tom and Beth sharing an intimate moment, offering a glimpse into the insatiable desire between their characters in the series.

Tom’s daughter Jess, played by Leila Khan, can be seen with Beth’s son Ollie, played by Johnny Sanpher, blissfully unaware of their parents’ secret and wrapped up in a young love story of their own.

Meanwhile, Beth’s husband Neil, played by Matthew McNulty and Tom’s wife Hannah, played by Shelley Conn, remain none the wiser, as their partners risk the collapse of their marriages and the lives of both families being changed forever.

Additional casting includes Andrew Knott as Dave, the ex-husband of Beth’s recently deceased best friend, and James Murray and Charley Webb as Paul and Leah Kirkman, Tom’s brother and sister-in-law.
