Nicola Walker and Jemaine Clement play best friends in this wrong-com coming to Disney+

Disney+ has unveiled a first look at their upcoming comedy drama Alice and Steve, starring Nicola Walker, Jemaine Clement, Joel Fry and Yali Topol Margalith.

Described as an outrageously witty wrong-com, Alice and Steve follows Nicola’s character Alice, who is devastated when her best friend Steve, played by Jemaine, starts dating her 26-year-old daughter Izzy. She’s going to lose her best friend and her daughter in one fell swoop.

Alice tries everything she can to end the relationship. Unfortunately for her, Steve’s more than ready for the attack, and what begins as a perfect friendship, devolves into an all-out feud.

Promising to be a hilarious, messy, and complicated exploration of friendship, family, and love, Alice and Steve is an anti-romantic comedy that asks the question, how far would you go for love - or revenge? Will Alice forgive Steve? Will Steve and Izzy make a relationship work? Amongst all the questions hanging in the balance, one thing is certain; their lives will never be the same again.

Alice and Steve also stars Tyrese Eaton-Dyce, Marcia Warren, Eilidh Fisher and Ebony Aboagye.

Made by Clerkenwell Films, Alice and Steve is written and created by Sophie Goodheart, directed by Tom Kingsley, produced by Fran du Pille and executive produced by Petra Fried, Andy Baker, and Wim De Greef for Clerkenwell Films.

Alice and Steve will air later this year on Disney+
