Apple TV+ have released four first look images from their new seven-part thriller Hijack, starring Idris Elba.

Created by George Kay and Jim Field, who also wrote and lead directed the series respectively, Hijack is a tense seven-part thriller, which launches with the first two episodes on Wednesday 28th June.

Told in real-time. It follows the journey of a hijacked plane as it makes its way to London over a seven-hour flight, and authorities on the ground scramble for answers.

Idris Elba plays Sam Nelson, an accomplished negotiator in the business world who needs to step up and use all his guile to try and save the lives of the passengers. But his high-risk strategy could be his undoing.

Archie Panjabi plays Zahra Gahfoor, a counterterrorism officer who is on the ground when the plane is hijacked and becomes part of the investigation.

Hijack also stars Eve Myles, Max Beesley, Christine Adams, Neil Maskell, Jasper Britton, Harry Michell, Aimée Kelly, Mohamed Elsandel and Ben Miles.

Produced by Jamie Laurenson and Hakan Kousetta's 60Forty Films alongside Kay and Field Smith’s own production company Idiotlamp Productions, Hijack marks the first series to debut from Idris Elba's first-look deal with Apple TV+ and his Green Door Pictures..
