FIRST LOOK Lessons in Chemistry

Apple TV+ has released two first look images from their upcoming drama series Lessons in Chemistry, which is based on the best-selling debut novel from author, science editor and copywriter Bonnie Garmus.

Starring and executive produced by Brie Larson, Lessons in Chemistry is set in the early 1950s and follows Elizabeth Zott, played by Brie Larson, whose dream of being a scientist is put on hold in a society deeming that women belong in the domestic sphere, not the professional one.

When Elizabeth finds herself pregnant, alone and fired from her lab, she musters the ingenuity only a single mother has. She accepts a job as a host on a TV cooking show, and sets out to teach a nation of overlooked housewives – and the men who are suddenly listening – a lot more than recipes … all the while craving a return to her true love: science.

Starring alongside Larson are Lewis Pullman as Calvin, Aja Naomi King as Harriet Slone, Stephanie Koenig as Fran Frask, Patrick Walker as Wakely, Thomas Mann as Boryweitz, Kevin Sussman as Walter and Beau Bridges as Wilson.

Hailing from Apple Studios, Lessons in Chemistry is produced by Aggregate Films with Lee Eisenberg as showrunner and is executive produced by Brie Larson and co-executive producer Elijah Allan-Blitz for The Great Unknown Productions, Jason Bateman and Michael Costigan for Aggregate Films. Natalie Sandy for Piece of Work Entertainment alongside Susannah Grant and Louise Shore Bonnie Garmus serves as co-executive producer.

Lessons in Chemistry will air in 2023 on Apple TV+
