As he returns to Hollyoaks tonight to give evidence at his son’s sexual abuse trial, could he jeopardise the trial for Ollie?
Ollie Morgan was sexually abused by his football coach, Buster Smith but Luke was often too drunk to spot the signs or remember his son telling him. Luke ended up in prison when he attacked Scott Drinkwell, who he thought was the person abusing his son.
As Ollie’s trial begins, Luke arrives at court in the back of a police van, while his estranged wife, Mandy and former friend, Darren worry that he won’t be able to handle the pressures of the court room.
In emotional scenes, Luke beats himself up for not protecting his son and begs the jury to do what he couldn’t. He turns his anger at Buster, but his hot-headed outburst will put extra pressure on the trial and could ultimately jeopardise the whole case.
Hollyoaks continues tonight at 7pm on E4 (These scenes will air tomorrow night at 6:30pm on Channel 4)
