FIRST LOOK Our Girl (Series 3)

Our Girl is returning to BBC One for a brand new twelve-part series, with Michelle Keegan back as Corporal Georgie Lane.

Across twelve episodes, series three of Our Girl will comprise of three separate tours. This first tour of four episodes finds Georgie on a relief mission in Nepal following a devastating series of earthquakes.

In the opening episode, in addition to her duties as a medic, Georgie is tasked with mentoring the young and rebellious new 2-Section recruit Maisie (Shalom Brune-Franklin). Georgie and Maisie have history after previously meeting in Syria on a covert operation led by Elvis (Luke Pasqualino), and Maisie’s reckless nature irritates Georgie.

When Georgie meets Milan (Rudi Dharmalingam), an attractive Nepalese engineer, a bond starts to form between them whilst working together to rebuild the local area. Whilst on a tour of the village an aftershock causes a temple to collapse, trapping Georgie and Milan inside.

Once 2-section discover that Georgie missing, a frantic search ensues and thanks to Maisie’s quick thinking, Georgie and Milan are both pulled alive from the collapsed temple. However, before they can catch their breath, they realise Tara (Salina Shrestha), a young local girl previously befriended by Georgie, and a small group of children have been abducted by De Chand (Sabin Basnet), a fake NGO worker.

Military intelligence discovers that he’s part of a terrorist network and it is hoped he will lead them to a more important target, Aatan Omar. 2-section receive instructions to track him and to assist a Special Forces Unit led by a familiar and unwelcome face - Elvis.
