It’s that time of year again, where Lord Sugar will out 18 brand new candidates through their paces in a new series of The Apprentice.
They’ll each be hoping to secure Lord Sugar’s £250k investment in their business plan and the two words they won’t be wanting to hear are “You’re Fired!”.
Once again, Lord Sugar will be joined by his trusted aides Baroness Karren Brady and Claude Littner and the series returns to its Wednesday night slot after moving to Thursdays last year.
This year’s 18 contestants are, in alphabetical order (same order as gallery); Project Engineer Andrew Brady, owner of a fashion PR agency Anisa Topan, owner of a clothing company Bushra Shaikh, Management Consultant Charles Burns, owner of an online retail store Danny Grant, owner of a florist chain Elizabeth McKenna, owner of a legal firm Elliot Van Emden, Sales Executive Harrison Jones, PR & Marketing Manager Jade English, owner of a recruitment firm James White, Business Analyst Jeff Wan, Digital Marketing Manager Joanna Jarjue, business owner in construction Michaela Wain, Digital Product Consultant Ross Fretten, owner of an event companySajan Shah, owner of a confectionary company Sarah Lynn, owner of a clothing company Sarah-Jayne Clark and owner of a wedding company Siobhan Smith.
In the opening episode, the candidates are put to the test with their first task, rising before dawn to manufacture burgers. The teams have just one day to turn their meaty burgers into a healthy profit by selling them to hungry Londoners.
Straight after the main show, Rhod Gilbert will return to host The Apprentice: You’re Fired at 10pm on BBC Two where he’ll be joined by the latest candidate to be fired and a s joined by a panel of experts and fans who analyse this week's task and the fired candidate.
