Today Channel 4 have released some first look images from the second series of The End of The F***ing World which returns in November.
The first series saw teen outsiders James played by Alex Lawther and Alyssa played by Jessica Barden, embark on a road trip which descended into darkly comic chaos. After finding themselves embroiled in a series of violent events they are soon trailed by two uniquely mismatched police detectives, played by Wunmi Mosaku and Gemma Whelan.
After a shocking series finale left viewers reeling, series two is set two years on with Alyssa still dealing with the fallout of the events of the first series.
There first-look images reveal Alyssa, now in a diner uniform, and a mysterious new character, Bonnie - an outsider with a troubled past and a mysterious connection to Alyssa. She will be played by Naomi Ackie.
As to the fate of James, who we last saw shot on a beach at the end of series one, fans will have to wait until November to find out.
Charlie Covell returns to write The End of the F***ing World which is a co-production from Netflix and Channel 4 and has been inspired by the characters from the award-winning series of comic books by Charles Forsman.
