In the pub Darren reels from what Frankie has told him and promises that he believes her and will help her. But Frankie doesn’t want Darren to tell anyone.
When JJ asks him for a lift so he can go to a party, Darren takes him, desperate to get him away from Frankie.
As they’re together in the car, a cocky JJ boasts about his football career, however he game is over.
As they spend the day together, Frankie opens up more and tells Darren that she doesn’t want to tell the police, explaining why she thought Jack might attack her.
When Darren goes to meet Nancy and Morgan in the park, he’s conflicted as he doesn’t want to break Frankie’s confidence. So instead, he tells Nancy that he can’t see her again before the trial as he needs to support Frankie. Which leaves Nancy devastated.
At the Osbornes, Frankie tells Suzanne she told her when she was nine years old that JJ was abusing her before reading her excerpts from her diary on her phone, begging her mum to believe her.
