Gabby’s obsession with healthy eating takes a worrying turn in Emmerdale

But will she accept what Manpreet has to say?

As Manpreet examines Gabby, she suspects that her cough could be bacterial bronchitis, for which she prescribes a course of antibiotics. But privately, Gabby’s fixation on only consuming organic goods has developed so far as to make her sceptical about taking the medication.

When Laurel and Gabby fall out over the healthy eating menu at the hide and their bad financial situation, Laurel walks out of the business.

Coughing into a tissue, Gabby is privately alarmed to see she’s coughed up blood, and Robert hovers in the wings, delighted that their business plan is failing.

Before long, with her cough no better, Manpreet invites her back to the surgery for blood tests.

On hearing Gabby regurgitating wild conspiracy theories about pharmaceutical companies and realising what the content of Gabby’s social media reels involves, the penny starts to drop for Manpreet, and she calls Gabby back to see her at the surgery.

Soon, Manpreet tells Gabby she may have something known as Orthorexia but Gabby is in denial about her eating habits, and they reach an impasse.
