Gail's surprising discovery brings her closer to George Shuttleworth in Corrie

But as Eileen watches on, what will she make of it all?

After retrieving a box of family photos from the factor, Gail is bemused by a photo which falls to floor - it's of a lady called Fanny. Determined to find out who she was, Gail searches a genealogy website.

Having traced her from the photo, Gail confides in Nick, telling him that Fanny is her great great grandmother and she’s arranged to meet up with someone called Top Hat, who claims Fanny is their great great grandmother too.

Meanwhile, in the Rovers, Audrey is delighted to be having a drink with Archie’s son George, but when Gail arrives to join her, she's stunned to discover that Top Hat is none other than George himself.

Both Gail and George are thrilled to realise that they share a set of great great grandparents, Fanny and Augustus Page. When Mary and Eileen arrive at the pub, they're unimpressed to see George fawning over Gail.

As Eileen and Gail embark on a slanging match, George wonders what he’s got himself into!

Corrie continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV
