Gemma’s world comes crashing down in Hollyoaks as the police close in

Has her luck finally run out?

 3-9 OCTOBER

James is adamant that he’s being framed and Leah tells Lucas she believes James is innocent.

Misbah suggests Gemma calls in sick as the hospital is rife with gossip, but Gemma won’t let Mercedes rock her, and together with Imran, they visit Ste’s family to offer their support. And when Leah takes a breather outside, Imran comforts her.

With some new evidence against Gemma, Mercedes rings Dodger and tells him what she knows about her recent crimes with Jenson.

Once confronted, Jenson admits to Dodger that he’s an undercover agent, and has evidence in Ste’s vanishing case. But does Dodger believe him?

Gemma scowls at Lucas, furious at him for the secret they now share and Lucas admits to being guilty.

Shocked by what she’s heard, Leah tells Lucas to stay away from her before falling down the steps. As Frankie rushes out of the shop, Lucas watches on, horrified.

With Leah now lying unconscious at the bottom of the steps, Frankie screams for help and Misbah and Gemma soon both spring into action, whilst Lucas flees the scene and begs Xander for help with getting him out of the village.

Later, Warren gets the wrong end of the stick when confronted by Dodger and confesses to sleeping with Gemma and Imran is supported by Misbah as he admits he’s still in love with Leah.

Mercedes goes barrelling over to Gemma when she realises she hasn’t been arrested yet and Dodger shares with Donny his concerns about Gemma’s involvement in Ste’s vanishing.

Jenson shows Mercedes voicemails of Gemma confessing to the crypto wallet crimes. At the station, Mercedes shows Dodger and Donny these recordings. Donny is struggling as they decide to bring her in.

Misbah supports a downbeat Gemma as she admits she doesn’t believe a word of the gossip and Gemma decides to go back to work, not letting a few rumours keep her away. But just after she leaves, Donny and Dodger turn up with a warrant for her arrest.

At the hospital, a chase ensues as Donny and Dodger close in on Gemma.

Meanwhile, Leah wakes up to find Imran vigil at her bedside and Nancy wonders whether Frankie might want to go into nursing, given how great she was with Leah.
