George faces an impossible choice as Eddie drops a huge bombshell in EastEnders

But is he about to make the biggest mistake of his life?

Following the drama at Vicki and Ross’ wedding ceremony, Harry finds himself on the receiving end of Gina’s anger as she stews over George being with Eddie.

At home, Gina is heartbroken when Harry tells her about Eddie’s comments, and with encouragement from Harry, she heads to No.1 to confront George, who pales to learn that Eddie has not changed. But as he attempts to apologise to Gina, she flees.

Realising he needs to do more to protect his family from Eddie, George tells Eddie he’s sending him back to prison. Realising George is serious, Eddie decides to drop the bombshell that Nicola has been allowing him to stay in return for his money.

After questioning Eddie about Nicola, George finally renounces Eddie as his dad for his actions and treatment of his family.

As the pair argue, old emotions bubble to the surface, and George makes a last-minute decision to protect himself and his family from his dad’s actions, but it’s one he may live to regret.

And as dawn breaks in Walford, the residents contemplate their own situations, but it’s clear that the tricky road ahead for a few has only just begun...
