Can George clear his name before it’s too late?

 21-27 FEBRUARY

At the undertakers', Christina makes a joke about George inveigling his way into clients’ wills and is left mortified to discover that Mrs Ripley, a potential client, overheard her.

Adam reveals to George that Annie has hired him to contest her mother’s will, and it’d be best to hire his own solicitor as soon as possible.

When Christina meets up with Mrs Ripley, will she be able to put matters right?

At the undertakers, George tells Christina he’s thinking of turning down the £10k from Annie’s mother’s will as it’s not worth the aggro, but when Christina points out that that would look like an admission of guilt, George sees her logic.

Soon after, Adam warns Christina that Annie is convinced she’s George’s co-conspirator and intends to sue the pair of them.

Later, a man enters the undertakers' introducing himself as Damien, Mrs Ripley’s son, and thanks George for agreeing to oversee his Mum’s funeral. But as George and Christina see him out, Annie approaches and asserts that Shuttleworths are not to be trusted.

Thanking her for the warning, Damien vows to take his business elsewhere.

Coronation Street continues Monday to Friday at 8.30pm on ITV1 with first look episodes available from 7am on ITVX
