Graham leaves with Baby Tate as Joe refuses to back down in Emmerdale

Will his departure force Kim to face her painful past?

Kim discovers that Joe has banned anybody from seeing the baby as he’s being put up for adoption.

As she tries in vain to get Joe to see sense, Kim is upset by his plan, and Graham does his best to stop the adoption and tells Joe that if the adoption goes ahead, he'll leave Joe's life forever.

Soon, Kim is delighted when Joe and Graham arrive home with baby Tate, but her hope turns to heartbreak when the plan remains unchanged; as he only brought him back so she could say her goodbyes.

As Kim begs Joe to rethink the adoption, she learns that Graham is leaving too, who tells her that Joe needs her now more than ever. And when Graham leaves for good with Baby Tate, Kim is left feeling broken.

With Graham gone, Home Farm feels quiet and empty, and Billy can’t believe that Baby Tate has been given away and lays into Joe.

Whilst private and alone, Joe hits the whisky, and it is clear from Kim’s state that this adoption has triggered her past memories of putting her own daughter up for adoption.
