But has he just made things much worse?

 9-15 MAY

As Grant continues to help Linda mend his relationship with Johnny, the pair finally meet for a drink.

And as Mark frets about his repayment to the gang, Sam tries to convince him to speak to Grant for help. After encouragement from Lauren, Mark relents, but he’s irked when Grant flirts with Linda, which leads to an argument between them.

Attempting to get through to her nephew, Sam questions him on his relationship with Lauren.

Later, Lauren and Mark argue when she reveals she doesn’t have room for more cars at the car lot, leading Mark to eventually tell Vicki about his debt.

After encouragement from Vicki, Mark speaks to Phil, who agrees to loan him £30,000 to buy some time with the gang. When Grant learns about Mark’s ordeal from Sam, he attempts to help, but Phil and Mark insist he doesn’t get involved.

Ignoring their request, Grant wades in to speak to Mark’s boss, but things soon go from bad to worse when their past differences resurface.

Later, Mark’s boss, Russell, breaks into No.43 to tell Vicki the truth about Mark’s debt. When Vicki reveals all to him, Mark is fuming to learn about Grant’s meddling and heads to No.55, ordering Grant out of his life.

After Max and Vicki raise her suspicions, Lauren heads to the Arches to confront Mark on the legitimacy of the cars, who insists that everything is above board.

Later, Sam gives Mark an idea to convince Lauren.
