I Am returning to Channel 4 with I Am Helen

The new two-part series will star Nicola Coughlan and Joe Cole.

Channel 4 has today announced the return of writer, producer and director Dominic Savage's hit female-led anthology series I Am, with Nicola Couglan starring in I Am Helen alongside Joe Cole.

Dominic has always developed the stories in creative collaboration with its leading actor, and this time the story was developed with Nicola Coughlan. I Am Helen follows the standout success of three previous I Am series, authentically exploring the personal experiences of women through provocative, emotionally raw storytelling.

Series one starred Vicky McClure in I Am Nicola; Samantha Morton in I Am Kirsty; and Gemma Chan in I Am Hannah. Series two starred Suranne Jones in I Am Victoria, Letitia Wright in I Am Danielle and Lesley Manville in I Am Maria. Then series three was a standalone episode with Kate Winslet leading I Am Ruth.
