I TALK TO EJ Johnson

EJ Johnson is the son of Basketball player Magic Johnson and reality TV's latest star.

His larger-than-life personality won people over in the first season of #RichKids Of Beverly Hills and as the show returns for a second season, EJ soaks up even more of the limelight. EJ stars in #RichKids alongside Dorothy Wang, Morgan Stewart, Brendan Fitzpatrick, Roxy Sowlaty, Jonny Drubel who were also in the first season.

This time around expect another glitzy season of designer bags, champagne, and of course, lots of drama, especially relationship drama.

Are you enjoying spending more time in Beverly Hills at the moment?

LA is my hometown. I’m loving being back home.

What can we expect to see from you in the second season?

A lot of glitz and glamour and a lot more fashion as well as more drama and real situations.

Do you think it’s fair to say we’ll be seeing a lot more of you this time around?

Yup! I’ve signed on as a main character this season. I’m a fulltime working diva now

What has the reaction been like since the first season, do you find that more people recognise you now out and about?

Yes, I’m definitely being recognized more when out and about.

How pleased were you to hear that the show had been given a second season? And why do you think people enjoyed watching it so much?

It was great to hear that so many people wanted us back for a second season. I think people like us because we’re real. What you see is what you get. There’s nothing fake about us.

Your sister appears in the new season, was it difficult convincing her to take part in the show?

No – she’s like me, she loves the spotlight.

What about your dad, Magic Johnson, is he a fan of the show?

Yes, both of my parents are fans of the show

How important is social media to you and do you believe there's such a thing as over-sharing?

A huge number of my fans are social media users. I feel that I generate most of my fans from Twitter and Instagram. They always have my back. The haters are always gonna hate, but my fans always come for them. They’re everything.

What is it about #RichKids do you think, that people love so much?

I think people like us because we’re real. What you see is what you get. There’s nothing fake about us.

What do you have planned once you finish school and how important is it for you to be successful?

I realise I have some big shoes to fill. Being successful is totally important to me. Eventually, I want to have my own talk show.

Until then, I’m going to continue building my brand. Possibly even come out with an affordable fashion line that represents my own fashion

Finally, apart from #RichKids, what other reality shows are you loving at the moment?

I love me some Real Housewives of Atlanta!

#RichKids of Beverly Hills returns to E! Sundays at 11pm
