When a skittish James offers to help Donna-Marie at the gym, she offers him a permanent position and Leela and Ste are shocked to see James turn up for a shift at the gym. Together, they decide to put him through his paces.
Letting Ste in on his plan to tell the police all he knows about Norma, James asks him to join him. But Ste doubts his motivations.
Later, James is delighted when Verity gives him his job back on the condition he mans the hook-a-duck stall.
But now he has his job back, James also wants his man back and plans to meet up with Ste later to sort their relationship out. However, it's too good to be true.
