Joe takes revenge on Ruby by burying her alive in Emmerdale

When Joe struggles to deliver a eulogy, Kim steps in to provide a tribute, finishing with a vow to keep the family together, but Joe, unable to cope with the weight of his grief, walks away from the burial.

Later, Kim and Graham argue about Joe’s absence and the family's future.

Soon, the dark truth is finally revealed when Joe visits a grave to swear vengeance for Dawn’s death, and we discover that he has buried Ruby alive in the coffin.

Joe stands over a groggy Caleb, ominously warning him about the events to come. As Joe taunts a weakened Caleb, he hints that he has put Ruby in danger and relishes the power he holds over him.

Meanwhile, a terrified Ruby wakes up in a coffin, unable to escape her confinement. As she loses strength, she slips into silence and appears to run out of air.

When Caleb attempts to find a weapon, Joe laughs at him and reveals he has buried Ruby alive in a coffin, causing Caleb’s blood to run cold. He begs Joe to release her, but Joe remains unmoved and blames Caleb for Dawn's death.

Soon, Vinny arrives at Home Farm and confesses to Joe that he caused the crash that killed Dawn. When Joe reacts with a menacing, intense silence, everyone is left in fear for Vinny’s safety.

At the hospital, Kim visits Joe’s baby and reflects on Dawn's life and her own grief; she vows to protect the child and keep the family together, determined to prevent Joe from making further mistakes.

With Caleb determined to seek revenge on Joe, Moira catches him rooting around for a weapon. When he confesses what happened and his plan for vengeance, Moira convinces him that it will only destroy his life.
